Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
The Evil HR Lady explains, in clear and concise terms, why another nanny-rule isn’t such a good thing. It’s nothing that comes as any sort of news to my fine self, but the way she makes her point is constructive and worthy of emulation, in my opinion. It makes the point more likely to sink in, for those who need to understand it. Maybe.
Anti bullying legislation has been under consideration in several states since California first introduced a proposal in 2003. None has passed such legislation, but, the Los Angeles Times reports, New York is likely to make bullying illegal this year. Maryland is holding hearings and other states are considering proposals.
This is all noble and good and completely the wrong thing to do. Here are 5 reasons why.
1. It will be even harder to find new jobs…
2. Legislation will not solve the problem…
3. Bullying is impossible to define clearly…
4. Managers need to manage…
5. Protection against bullying also protects the bully…

But vacuuming the brains out of a third trimester baby is OK with these “let’s legislate everything we can think of, that way it will magically go away” brain dead fools?
But maybe we should engage them about this. Let’s figure out which adult in any superviserary situation would most likely “permit” bullying to take place on their watch. The ponytail dude with the ‘Fish’ tie die tee shirt who preaches diversity, multiculturism, who thinks everyone is exactly the same in relationship to their upbringing be it one parent household, two mommies or two daddies, let’s all get along, cumbaya, ‘Up With People’, ‘everyone is special’, let’s not grade anyone or keep score because it might hurt some child’s feelings, panty wasted, metro sexual shithead. Or….that dude who was the gym/health class teacher that when he looked at ya’ you knew you were in deep Kim chi ‘cause he’d just as soon just ya’ up against the wall if you didn’t stop acting like a jack wagon punk?
Once again, for the thousand fucking time, liberals have created the problem they want to now fix by legislating away. Assclowns.
Lets legislate away liberal assclowns.

No shit, eh? Except all the ones I’ve worked for want to sit there and play favorites.
They look the other way while the office golden boy gets away with murder, then come down on me like a ton of bricks for some minor oversight.
Just once, I’d like to be the boss – and I mean top dog, with real authority. I’d run a tight ship – a drill sergeant approach. No funny business allowed, no double standards, no screwing around or goofing off. No favorites, no colleagues disciplining each other, no fraternization between me and the employees….actually punishing bad behavior instead of letting it slide, but also no nailing people over inconsequential crap. No making a great big deal out of nothing.
I’ve been in places that were run like a North Korean prison camp, and in others where people seem to think “work” is the same as “happy la la screw around time.”
