Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
People are paying other people money, to become activists against other people who are trying to make money for trying to make money.
Useful idiots with some very limited usefulness about them.
Hat tip to Kate at Small Dead Animals.

See, now, if we can just free up the funds otherwise going to healthcare, and GIVE low/non skilled folk of the “workers” class more money, they’d be able to crowdsource more cash toward noble efforts via their “Free” iphones.
Fungible, or something.
- CaptDMO | 12/06/2013 @ 09:14There are too many myths about fracking to enumerate and respond to here. Let me just address the biggest one: fracking at 8,000′ affects the groundwater at the surface.
I’m in the business of cleaning the water associated with each phase of the fracking process. We have geologists and they know other geologists…and they all say: there is no way that can happen. Chemicals escaping and percolating through thousands of feet of strata and impervious rock to contaminate the wells above? No way that can happen. Usually the, oh, methane in someone’s well is “naturally occuring” and not due to fracking.
But, if you don’t like progress, capitalism, oil companies, etc. that won’t matter to you.
- BillW. | 12/07/2013 @ 10:14I wonder if this is still available. What if we got a bunch of people across the different states to apply for this. Say 100 in 10 towns. And then have a campaign with slogans such as “I don’t want new jobs from clean energy because fracking sounds dirty”, “The world win end if we frack”, or “We don’t need American energy. There’s plenty in the middle east”.
We could all make some money and show how overly stupid the anti-fracking movement is…
