Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...

I recommend taking them to Chuck-E-Cheese and giving them a life-sized Teddy Bear. If the person you’re dating isn’t impressed by that, it’s not someone you want to be with in the first place.
Well, so much for THAT dude’s credibility; one suspects his home is on wheels. Not that that’s a BAD thing, of course. 🙂
- bpenni | 02/12/2011 @ 10:48Oh, yes it can be a bad thing, a very bad thing. At least for the person so ensconced; we’ve been following your latest misadventures with interest. Hoping your spring thaw arrives early and your Holiday Inn Express reservations are few.
But if not…you know, I’ve always liked their breakfast spreads, and I have yet to find a poorly managed HIX. So you at least have that goin’ for ya.
- mkfreeberg | 02/12/2011 @ 15:24Then you haven’t been trying, Morgan.

So, I travel for a big part of my job. If there’s a Marriott property within 50 miles of my destination, I will stay there. (Yes, 50.) I increased it to 50 after I decided 36 miles was too far to drive, and stayed at the above listed HIE.
1) The rooms smelled of old man farts and cat pee. I kid you not.
- muttley | 02/12/2011 @ 19:092) The “High Speed Internet” was a shared (by the whole hotel) ISDN line, with outbound ESP, AH and udp/500 blocked, making getting on the VPN impossible.
3) There were other problems with it, but those were my big ones. If I remember others, I’ll let you know. But it was foul.
Anybody else get hit with a fake antivirus program after visiting this site?
- Jason | 02/12/2011 @ 23:41I didn’t, but a year ago I was hit by a nasty bug that made a point of waking up whenever I hit a site that had ads, to make them look culpable. Before the drama was over I was indicting Human Events and Free Dictionary, along with others…before I realized I was being toyed with. Since then I’ve gotten completely paranoid about this stuff, and I update my anti-spyware database daily. If they were infecting people, I’d know.
It might be time for a sweep there.
- mkfreeberg | 02/12/2011 @ 23:48I have found that Microsoft Security Essentials does a pretty good job. It even caught some stuff my SAV Corp didn’t catch.
