Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
I measure the weakness of a liberal argument according to how quickly the person who offers it, abandons it and lapses back into “Yeah, but those OTHER guys…”
According to that, I rate Ms. Powers’ rebuttal two minutes and three seconds. Cut that in half because they were talking over each other the whole time. One minute, one and a half seconds.
That’s a weak argument. I’ll bet if I built my own garbage bag out of newspapers, it might not make the trip but it’ll be more than a minute before that thing gives way. I can hold my breath for a minute. I can’t make a pot of coffee in a minute.
There is nothing you can say against the Obama administration, now, that won’t paint its apologists into that sad pathetic corner in a matter of seconds. Nothing. Everything leads to that, because there’s noplace else for it to go. “Yeah maybe, but what did you have to say when BUSH…”
“Obama” is an ancient Kenyan word that roughly translates to “indefensible.”

It reminds me of a “challenge” I heard about – one you can administer to Obama supporters back during the fall of 2008.
The challenge went, “Tell me why you support Obama for President.” Then, count how many words the other person says before you hear “Bush,” “McCain,” “conservatives,” “Palin,” “right-wing,” or “neocons.”
Most Obama-philes averaged twelve or less, I’ll bet. Meanwhile, I’ve got a challenge of my own: Explain to me why Bush doing this or that was bad, but Obama doing the same thing ten times harder is good.

Hey, did you notice that at first Kirstin said “the guy wasn’t really intimidating people” and then later basically said that wasn’t what she was saying and she agreed with Megyn on that point and that Megyn was “twisting her words”?
This, when police show up to mitigate a traffic jam in Florida within a 5 mile radius of a polling place is labeled “voter intimidation” by the left.
Un-fe-buckin’ believable … except that I’ve seen it far too many times.
- philmon | 07/16/2010 @ 19:49I hate it when people on FNC talk over each other. I can’t understand either of them.
- cylarz | 07/16/2010 @ 21:17It’s why I really don’t watch TV news anymore. We “watch” Fox & Friends in the morning while we’re getting ready for work, but they don’t do as much of that. It’s more of a morning “news” magazine. And I tape Glenn Beck and …. well I’ve only been watching “Founders Fridays” for the last few months and HE doesn’t really allow that either. I read my news for the most part, where people can’t talk over each other.
