Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Another good one goes. I’ll check back later to see who’s written what.
Thanks for filling us in, Terri.

My blogfaddah.
I’m saddened beyond words.
- bpenni | 03/07/2012 @ 11:47The fallen warrior had a great quote on his wall, that was still up last I checked:
Μολὼν λαβέ.
That’s priceless. Wish I put in more effort to start a conversation with him while he was among us.
- mkfreeberg | 03/07/2012 @ 14:09I am poorer now. He was a patient man who answered my questions patiently.
He will be missed.

You would have found him to be a humble man, full of grace, good will, and exceptional accomplishment. Yet NOT an individual to suffer fools, even for a moment.
I was oh-so-brief earlier today when I said he was my “blogfaddah.” Lex was the guy who got me into blogging and it all began when I initiated a brief conversation back in late 2004 or 2005, my intent being to simply to thank the man for his excellent posts and advocacy of and for the military. He came back with the usual thanks and inquired about my past, which began our dialog. After a few exchanges he ended up with something to the effect of “you have stories to tell and you’re well-spoken… so why AREN’T you blogging?” And then we were off… and EIP was born.
The interesting bit: Lex was an active duty Commander (O-5) at the time yet he spoke to (and with) me… a retired non-com… as an equal. Those who haven’t spent time in the military may not grasp the implications therein, but those who know… know.
What a void he leaves.
