Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Democrats Work For Solutions; Republicans Pray The Problem Will Go Away
Quote on the masthead of lefty blog Simply Left Behind.
This call for drilling in areas that are protected is a hoax
Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, praying that the problem will go away.
I didn’t know Speaker Pelosi was a Republican.
Aren’t you people just going to love it when Pelosi, Reid and Obama are running the whole show?

I don’t get to sneer, I accidentally called Ahhnold a Democrat a couple of weeks ago. Of course, he was actually quoting the Dem party line that “Drilling was pointless.
- Tom The Impaler | 07/11/2008 @ 13:26Yes, that quote at the lefty blog is proven true by our Republicans…whenever they work really hard at acting like democrats. Which is often. Whenever they want to become more popular.
Speaking of being proven right, that strategy has a tendency to prove Ann Coulter right. It fails way more often than it succeeds. It’s true of life in general — those who sacrifice genuine achievement in order to be more popular, ultimately fail at both of those goals.
- mkfreeberg | 07/11/2008 @ 14:06Actuallly, Democrats talk about the need to find “Real Solutions™”. (Seriously, “Real Solutions™” has become a meaningless Democrat buzz-term — it typically means, “non Republican-endorsed”). Any “solutions” actually suggested by Democrats will require direct government intervention and expansion.
Republicans — at least Reagan Republicans and Contract With America Republicans try to come up with solutions that don’t involve government involvement and expansion and often try to remove any government intervention issues that are contributing to, or often actually causing the problem.
The basic problem being that any action taken to actually solve a problem will conflict with some special interest group’s agenda, and will be blocked by Democrats who depend on them for support.
