Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
So I’m in the middle of a crazy day…a “No Meetings, and Thank God” day. I haul my chicken rice bowl back to my desk and, in the middle of a compile, I bring up Gerard’s page to see what’s going on. There’s this video embed I make a note of watching that evening…and then at Joan’s place I see exactly the same thing. I just glanced at a couple of comments before I realized I had to watch this right away. So out came the headphones, and I hit play.
Oh, Sweet Jesus. This happened in The Land of the Turnpike? Do tell?

Bravo. Refreshing indeed.
Does this guy remind anyone else of actor Kevin James – “The King of Queens?”
- cylarz | 05/15/2010 @ 16:16Ohhh yes, talk to me, big man.
I do believe I’m a little bit wet after listening to that clip.
- Daphne | 05/15/2010 @ 18:49A trend? Why yes, I believe so. Hawt damn!!
- JoanOfArgghh | 05/16/2010 @ 16:35Yes, I saw this too, and I gotta say. Refreshing.
Something is happening in the country. Help it along. Be a part of it.
Notice he didn’t get rude, he just called the idiot on his idiocy, and told it like it is. I’ve been waiting for a very long time for this. The closest we had before was Cheney.
I hope it takes off like wildfire.
- philmon | 05/16/2010 @ 18:44I like this guy.
Looking forward to more of this, and from more people.
- HoundOfDoom | 05/16/2010 @ 19:54That post was raaaaacist. Or something. I’m sure an Obama voter can tell me.
Let’s see: a politician runs for office on a certain platform and actually institutes the changes he campaigned on. Only in our current bizarro political world is this considered strange.
I want this to work in the swamps of NJ. If it does- and I think it will- the current species of GOP self-styled elites will be put out to pasture. Permanently. Right now, I await the latest excretion from Brooks et al about why Christie is emblematic of just how wrong the new crop of Repulicans are for this country.
