Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Yasmine Bleeth goes up against the last letter of the alphabet, represented by Zooey Deschanel. Zooey, of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy fame.
It’s pretty easy to find some Yasmine swimsuit pics on the web, and dang hard to find any of Zooey. But Zooey takes it anyway. She’s not a cokehead, she’s got gorgeous eyes, seems (from what I can gather) to be a woman of class, and she’s got nice bangs.
Bangs. You know, as in hair.
Hey, Bryan Singer. You cast Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. Zooey was right there. She was right freakin’ there. Ms. Bosworth was alright…but to envision a 1980 Margot Kidder aging into Kate, was a little distracting. All in all it would have to go into the Mistake File. Shoulda gone with Zooey.
Yeah, I know that’s kind of late notice for ya. But it’s true.

That was an easy choice for as well.
- pdwalker | 03/12/2010 @ 23:47I guess I don’t understand what exactly we are judging if Yasmine isn’t the overwhelming choice.
Where background checks done on the other contestants?
Hell, why bother with pictures let’s just vote on who we think the nice, sweet girls on by what charities they lend a hand to, or soup kitchen they serve meals with or number of dogs they’ve saved from the pound or…or…or
Give me Yaz, all coked up, we’ll drink till we can’t stand…then go save some homeless dudes. Oy vie.
Seriously though Morgan, why keep hammering Yasmine for her past problems, Glenn Beck as admitted to as much, he’s turned his life around, no? As a Christian you do believe in redemption?
Carry on…semi rant over.
- tim | 03/13/2010 @ 09:05Mr. Beck demonstrates by his actions that it’s a decision. So if it’s true for him it’s true for all of them.
My patience with addictive personalities has been pretty much exhausted over the last decade. Not just with coke, just addictions in general. I’m tired of the lie that this-or-that person “just wants to be left alone to live his life.” People with addictions do not want to be left alone to live their own lives; they want the world to work a certain way. This gets into something that should (and in all likelihood will) be a post of its own. Suffice it to say I’m really plum wore-out from watching people like this wreck things, and demand to be allowed to get away with it.
Yasmine has nice knees, I’ll say that much.
- mkfreeberg | 03/13/2010 @ 09:38I’m a big fan of Zoey. I think she may be an animal rights freak, but she’s danged good lookin’. Probably my favorite of the current crop of actresses in the feminine aesthetics department.
Hell, you don’t even have to throw a picture of her up. If you’d mentioned her in A & B, the contest would’ve been over for me right then and there.
- philmon | 03/13/2010 @ 11:13Heh. There you go. But not that good a quality picture.
If this or this don’t get it for ya… ye’r hopeless.
Ok. I admit it. I have a bit of a thing for Zooey.
- philmon | 03/13/2010 @ 19:32Is this Zooey chick related to Emily Deschanel, the star of that drama “Bones?” Sisters? Same woman even? Because I see a definite resemblance.
- cylarz | 03/13/2010 @ 21:14Here’s a side-by-side for comparison. Apparently they aren’t the same woman, but maybe they’re related?

- cylarz | 03/13/2010 @ 21:17She’s on Caprica now, a SciFi channel show I’m kind of hooked on, and she is adorable.
Outstanding pick, Morgan.
- Daphne | 03/14/2010 @ 06:20Yes, that is her sister.
- philmon | 03/14/2010 @ 07:53[…] Sunday Pinup Alessandra Torresani Y and Z […]
- Dita, Felicia, and By the Way, Free Markets Are Free | 03/14/2010 @ 10:14[…] the blond incarnation, for the etymology of ‘hooligans’. We resemble that epithet. He came to the end of the alphabet, unless he has a Unicode fast one up his sleeve, in which case Freeberg has plenty […]
- Rule 5 Sunday : The Other McCain | 03/14/2010 @ 17:29I have a fondness for cute, geeky sort of looking girls. Zooey fits right into that sweet spot. That said, if this was merely a contest of physical attraction, Ms. Bleeth wins hands down.
No, she would never be Miss Right, but there’s no way in hell that she couldn’t be Miss Right Now. Well, as long as you didn’t get between her and the chalk line on the football field. A guy could get hurt that way.
- Physics Geek | 03/15/2010 @ 06:39Why does Zooey (is it Zooey or Zoey or Zoe?) look about half-crazy? Is she going for that look in the particular photo, or is just one of those wild and spontaneous girls? And what’s with the sign she’s holding?
- cylarz | 03/15/2010 @ 09:33Hmmm. Geeky never comes to mind when I consider Zooey. It’s her face and coloring that gets me. The rest is gravy.
Cylarz … wild and spontaneous … I think that was a magazine shoot or maybe for her acting portfolio.
Check the links in my previous comment for less crazy ones 🙂
- philmon | 03/15/2010 @ 13:04[…] I think Zooey nails this one. Sorry AnnaLynne. It’s Zooey, so she’s two-fer-two in this contest now, having trounced Yasmine Bleeth last week. […]
