Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...

To talk now of a “smoking gun” is like witnessing the Battle of Waterloo and saying: “Hah! A smoking gun! Over there!” True, but daft.
:
To defend Obama, as his wiser supporters already realise, must mean defending what he has quite obviously and publicly been doing.Which might well work, because it is also clear that a great many Americans do agree with what President Obama has been doing. They want big government, and they want the big government they already have to silence anyone who doesn’t want big government.

While I agree that “his wiser supporters” are “defending what he has quite obviously and publicly been doing.” I disagree that that it’s all about wanting “big government”.
Sure they want big government NOW, but wait till they get a glimpse of someone who they doesn’t agree with their ideology.
I found all these liberals defending these shenanigans laughable. They act like there is no tomorrow, that’ll they’ll be in charge indefinitely.
What recourse will they have when the tables are turned? When a conservative president lies about the circumstances of a killed ambassador? When the Occupy types are targeted by the IRS? When the liberal media (redundant) are harassed and spied on? When a conservative administration uses fake email accounts to carry on business?
Won’t happen? While they’re probably right since all those scenarios run counter to the ideology of conservatism. Have they even considered what they are advocating by siding with the present tyranny? I think not.

there is no “later.” History always begins afresh each day. How could it be otherwise? We have 100+ years of evidence, on 5 continents and in every major culture, that liberalism doesn’t work…. And yet there are liberals. Obviously the lessons of history, and the knack for long-term thinking, are not their strong suits.

My bad. I know these things to be truth evident. That in liberal world, there are no tomorrows, only today. That history began when they were born. That the Constitution is an old piece of parchment that has little relevancy today.
Unless of course one needs to invoke the Fifth Amendment while testifying before congress concerning possible illegal activity. Or you’re an elected representative surrounded by body guards with guns and you want to infringe on the Second Amendment of citizens. Or spy on news reporters. And certainly, what difference does it make if you’re the Sec. of State and a senator dares ask you about the circumstances regarding the death of an ambassador and three other Americans?
Forgive me, it’s hard to keep track of the Liberal mindset. I can’t even imagine trying to be one. My spine shivers.
