Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Erick Erickson, The Daily Signal:
For example, the very people who support Planned Parenthood’s butchering and selling of baby body parts also advanced the disaster of Obamacare because they care for children. The same people who insist that “The Vagina Monologues” be permitted on college campuses also set up “safe zones” to restrict free speech because students must be protected from harmful ideas—like marriage being between a man and a woman. They outlaw incandescent light bulbs so we can use only toxic mercury because they care about polar bears and penguins with happy feet.
Around the country, progressive bullies have attacked Christians for daring to put their faith ahead of the pet causes of those who feign compassion while destroying life-giving liberties. What we are seeing is a scorched-earth, take-no-prisoners approach as the wildfire burns across our land. It is not enough that Christians be quiet. Christians must be silenced and punished.

There will be no going down the street to another florist, baker, pharmacist, venue operator, or photographer. Any who defy them are labeled bigots and driven to the fringes of society. They will viciously attack those who disagree with them because they tire of the debate, which they never wanted to begin with. They have no interest in explaining or defending their beliefs. They want victory and know the only way to get it is to silence, isolate, and destroy any who get in their way. The progressive activists who yell bigot at those who disagree with them are the jihadists of American culture.
The column is adapted from the book You Will Be Made to Care.
I’ve been noticing this thing about liberals tiring of a debate, which they may have started, but never wanted. Been noticing it awhile. Somewhere I made the point that a lot of people — wasn’t thinking of them as liberals, it was just a general observation — tend to forget the first rule of winning arguments: To get there, somewhere along the line you have to do some actual arguing. That’s, like, the first step. Veggies before dessert. We’ve lately got a lot of people living among us who want to skip to the fun part.
And yeah, come to think of it a lot of them do tend to be liberals.
“Though liberals do a great deal of talking about hearing other points of view, it sometimes shocks them to learn that there are other points of view.” — William F. Buckley, Jr.
“I don’t want to start an argument or anything, but…” What a nice sentiment. If disagreement ensues, it must be the other person’s fault. Can’t we all just get along?

But…they always DO want to start an argument. What they don’t want is anyone disagreeing with them. As a matter of fact, one of the forums I visit for fun will actively delete posts and suspend users, but only if they are conservative. There is a “politics” section, and conservatives are regularly warned to “take it there.” However, LIBERALS are freely allowed to mock Cruz, mock Trump, comment on global warming, endlessly spew hatred about conservatives and their “hate speech”, praise the Bern, praise Hill-dog, etc, etc.
The problem with OUR team is that we understand the issues, seeing as most of them can be solved with mere common sense, and we don’t bother to bring it up. We also don’t have any good sites that actively police the trolls. Our “most famous” sites are drudge, which links to a bunch of liberal-controlled, liberal-policed, slanted blogs; and Fox, which tries to be “fair and balanced” by bringing in as many liberal nutjobs as they have mainstream RINO neocons that they claim to be conservative.
- P_Ang | 03/14/2016 @ 12:44It’s a consequence of their worldview. Remember the 2nd Law of SJW: SJWs always project. You know how they’re always going on about how the Right sees everything in absolutes, black and white? Yep — liberals are in fact the most binary people on the planet.
And that’s a problem, because while a conservative who knows himself to be smart, compassionate, etc. can acknowledge the possibility of other people — even people very different from himself — also having those qualities. But liberals believe in what I call the Transitive Property of Goodthink. If you say Goodthink — which is intelligent, compassionate, good, and all around wonderful — then you are intelligent, compassionate, etc. And, of course, the reverse is also true — he who speaks against Goodthink is evil.
So, really, what is there to “debate”? Who argues with the Devil? He’s just evil, full stop, and all you can do is exorcize him.
