Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Snap Out Of It
Karol at Alarming News tells Republicans that if they’re too stupefied by the Foley scandal to drag their asses to a voting booth on election day, they need to just snap the hell out of it.
She speaks for me. Get over it already, Republicans…assuming you’re as demoralized as everybody keeps telling me you are. Which, of course, I somewhat doubt.

My sense is that this Foley scandal will actually energize the Republican base. Every election we see Dems feed October surprises to their allies in the MSM. With Bush it was drunk driving and Texas Air National Guard. The LA Times dropped a bomb on Schwarzenegger the week before the election. A story came out about Bruce Herschenson, and on and on. Media bias and Democrat dirty tricks fire up the base.
- Myrhaf | 10/05/2006 @ 05:08I hope you’re right. I’m voting for damned sure.

- Lockjaw | 10/05/2006 @ 07:46I’m thinking this over, and you know to the best I can recall, there’s a lot of precedence for what he said.
It makes sense. Dems come up with their October surprise, and whatever it is, they’re telling people what to think about things. Now, when people tell me what to think about things, it really ticks me off before the “how does this help/hurt conservatives/liberals” even has a chance to set in. Usually, in getting ticked off about such things, I stand alone. But the election results over the last six years indicate I’m not alone on this one. I think he makes a pretty strong case.
- mkfreeberg | 10/05/2006 @ 08:11In this case, it’s “Congressmen abusing underage boys, has something to do with Republicans being in charge; change the latter, you fix the former.” And I’ve started to gather the perception this is not resonating with anyone.
- mkfreeberg | 10/05/2006 @ 08:13Well, as a NJ “dyed in the wool” Republician, I will not be voting for Foley in November! No Way! He “screwed the pooch”; he’s out; end of story!
