Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Bristol has split with Levi again. So it’s time for another session of Palin-Go-‘Round. You’ve already been through a bunch of frames so by now you know exactly how the game is played:
1. Sarah Palin does something, or says something, or someone says or does something to her;
2. Liberals come up with some clever catch-phrases about it, eager to show other liberals how nasty they can be;
3. You skim through all the toxic things they have to say as they seek to impress each other;
4. Stop to consider: These are the people who want to manage health care for all of us. Scared yet?
Palin-go-round is always sickening but it’s always rewarding too. Liberals who want to show other liberals how nasty they can be, play to win. They know there are no points awarded for second-worst.
Here are your quotes. And one more time: These people want to make decisions about your health care. They think they have a right to do it because they’re extra-special, extra-intelligent, extra-evolved, extra-civilized and extra-decent people.
“This attention-seeking tramp gets everything she deserves.”
“At least this leaves Levi free to resume attacking Sarah without those mother-in-law concerns.”
“what a bunch of morons. i don’t know who is stupider, her or her mom.”
“Hopefully , the Alaskan trailer park trash will stay out of Washington DC.”
Now that we’ve concluded another set, let’s think about this:
Liberal plans all seem to have it in common, that something fundamental to human existence is to be centrally managed by demigod central figures who are so wonderful that positive results are assured.
Because those demigod central figures, apart from being so smart…are nice.
But when push comes to shove, liberals don’t put a lot of importance on being nice. They put a lot of importance on being mean and nasty. This is supposed to be why they’re better than conservatives — they’re nice, conservatives are mean.
The only thing missing is the nice-ness. It’s missing from the achievement. And it’s missing from the effort.

Never mind all the people who don’t fit in, and who have to be slaughtered by the millions on the way to Utopia.
It’s like everyone didn’t just live through the 20th century and all of its horrors following from statism – Naziism, Soviet & Chinese communism, the Khmer Rouge, concentration camps, plus two world wars & several smaller conflicts aimed at putting the kibosh on some of it. Funny how the supposed road to heaven always seems to lead to hell instead.
As for Palin, have you noticed that the Left has never focused one-tenth of this amount of vitriol on Lamar Alexander or Mitt Romney or Christine Todd Whitman or Susan Collins or Olympia Snowe?
My favorite are the liberal posters at various blogs who insist that they’re “laughing” at those of us who like her. “Keep supporting that airheaded hockey mom,” they tell us. “Keep it up. We’re laughing our asses off at you.” Hahahahaah. It’s so funny, they have to remind us every day just how funny it is.
“No, you’re not laughing,” I always reply. “You’re terrified. You’re hoping that we’ll buy into that bull and change course in order to get you to quit laughing. But you’re only pretending to laugh. In reality, you’re scared out of your wits…because Palin is going to rally the American people, and absolutely crush your candidate, when she finally decides to run for president. Amidst her leadership, your ideas will go down in flames and the Left won’t get anything of consequence done for the next fifty years.”
The fact that they’ve tried so hard to destroy her political career, that they’ve stooped so low, engaged in such filthy and reprehensible tactics…speaks volumes about the threat she represents to the identity politics upon which most of their power is based. In their minds, she has to be destroyed – at any cost.

There really are two Americas. The one that the leftist ruling class inhabits, and the one the rest of us live in. Can you imagine what the poo flingers on the left would be doing if the circumstances of these weddings were reversed?
