Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
The one hundred eighteenth award for Best Sentence I’ve Heard Or Read Lately (BSIHORL) goes out this morning to Jimmy Kimmel who said, in his comments about the unexpected news of the Kardashian divorce,
Kim has asked that her fans give her a complete lack of privacy during this time.
Whether he realizes it or not, this pinpoints the root cause of just about everything that’s going wrong with civilization lately. Attention is the new coin of the realm. People do what gets them watched.
Now for some Kim Kardashian bikini pics so I can generate more traffic for my blog.

NNoooo, it’s not what’s WRONG with the world–What’s wrong with the world started back when Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden.
It is, however, what has CHANGED about the world. And people either adapt well, or poorly, to change.
People like Kim Kardashian, and her fans, have adapted poorly.
Attention IS the coin of the realm, and has been probably since— well, I was going to say “the invention of television.” But then I thought “since the invention of the movie picture.” But then I realized that the need for a person to be known for their work, because to be known is to be sought after and kept employed and therefore to survive, dates back to the Flood and further. That need has surged with every new invention in communication media— the printing press, the camera, the radio, the movie, television, and now the internet. More than ever, but just as always, to be obscure is to starve.
