Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Why am I embedding a fifteen-month-old video?
Because it’s the tenth anniversary of the Bush v. Gore silliness. I’m watching all the puff pieces come in on the mind-rotting cable teevee. And I’ll not mince words with you on this one: If I hear one more talking-head droning on about the most “mature,” “dignified,” “conciliatory,” “soothing,” “calming,” “unifying” speech “in all of American history”…I’m a-thinkin’ I’m a-gonna barf here.
This is the decade-old speech that fooled people:
In 2000, we had an excuse to be naive about what Al Gore really is. We have no such excuse in 2010. He’s a partisan hack who just wants his side to win, and will say what it takes to make that more likely when the cameras happen to be on him. He doesn’t have a genuinely conciliatory blood cell in his entire body.

Gore. Pfft. One more icon of the Left that I’m completely tired of, that I would prefer never to hear from again. Along with filmmaker Michael Moore, former President Carter, Levi Johnston, and probably a dozen others who have LONG overstayed their 15 minutes of fame & gotten way too much attention.
The fact that Gore stands to personally profit from the whole “carbon credit trading scheme” should tell you something. The man lost ALL credibility the moment that story broke. Before that he was merely Bill Clinton’s annoying sidekick, and sore loser following the 2000 presidential election.
Now he’s a damned hypocrite and liar, too.
