Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
…that, in video games in particular, there aren’t any. Someone who knows these video games a lot better than I do, has declared the time has come to dispense with that.
To be fair, the video does not definitively dispense with it “once and for all” because the people who want to keep complaining, have some rebuttals. Which I’ll not sit here and pretend that I completely understand, but then again, the debunkers have rebuttals to the rebuttals.
And it seems the original point stands: There are quite a few strong female characters. So it doesn’t work to go around complaining that there aren’t any.

It seems as if you think actual data will stop them from false claims. I know that you do not think that. There may not be anything at all that will stop them from making false claims.
- Theo | 06/14/2015 @ 10:50I think the more likely response is what they call “moving the goalposts.”
In fact I know from experience that’s right. Feminist was complaining about female action heroes in movies, cartoons and games never having brown eyes, I pointed out that Lara Croft (at sometime, probably very early) had evolved to have definitely & distinctly brown eyes. Got back a ration about tight shorts & big boobs…
This is WELL AFTER the current revamp, in which Tomb Raider looks like a little boy in tattered jeans. To make feminists happy…would be funny if it wasn’t sad…
So the observation that really applies is, they will never, ever, EVER be happy.

They will not…

…be happy.

There is only one reply: “Why don’t you go and make the games you want?”
