Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Hawkins hits another bulls-eye.

2) The Purists
3) The Appropriators
4) The Bubbleheads
5) The Compromise Fetishists
I’m especially pleased that the sell-outs made #1. In which, I would include this guy along with some others…

I’d reverse numbers one and two. Sell-outs are annoying, purists do real damage by staying home out of pique and not voting. The money quote: “If you want to have it your way, go to Burger King because you’re not ever going to get everything you want in politics.”
- bpenni | 06/15/2012 @ 10:39Thing is though, you can’t speak to which thing outranks which other thing, unless you can see the issue from BOTH sides and understand the damage done by each one.
Say what you want about the fine art of compromise, appealing to the center, and getting stuff done…just because you might personally dislike one or two planks in the more orthodox Republican platform, doesn’t mean the Meghan McCains and David Frums aren’t doing damage. In fact, this is a great way to destroy a country, culture, faction or interest group: Deny it implicit permission to identify what it is, by denying it implicit permission to reject things.
“I think the feminist movement would be stronger if it was hospitable to women who happen to like men” is a perfectly sensible statement. “I think the Republican party would be stronger if it was hospitable to Keynesian economics” is not a sensible statement. There’s a difference, because it’s reasonable to be opposed in principal to an economic theory, but you can’t reasonably insist on bigotry against an entire gender of real people.
