Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Yup, seems to be genuine.
Cheer away. But, it should be obvious to anyone with a working brain, chuck some footwear at our new hopey changey President and nobody, from anywhere on the political spectrum, from sea to shining sea, will lift a finger to protect you.
You damn sure aren’t getting a monument anywhere.

Obviously this people are too ignorant to understand the very simple concept of the freedom they enjoy made possible by Pres. Bush to erect such a monument.
I’m also wondering what kind of monument they erected for the orphans of Saddam’s rule, perhaps something in the way of a wood chipper…?
- tim | 01/30/2009 @ 13:26Not to mention that as a piece of art it SUCKS. Profoundly.
- Andy | 01/30/2009 @ 14:12I thought feet and shoes and all that were supposed to be some kind of big insult in the Arab world. Isn’t that the reason (so we were told here in the US, anyway) that this idiot chucked his size-10’s at Bush in the first place?
Yeah, I’m with you guys, but you’ve merely stated the obvious. Yes, nobody would make a hero out of someone who threw his shoes at Obama…..and I’ll also add that anyone doing this to Saddam would have been shot immediately. Probably in front of the cameras.
It’s an outrage and disgrace. Yes, yes it is.
Still, I liked Jay Leno’s observation about it: “Everyone’s talking about that guy who threw his shoes at President Bush. They keep saying that to be hit with a shoe is a big insult in the Arab world. Yeah, as opposed to here in the US, where it’s a huge compliment.”
- cylarz | 01/31/2009 @ 22:58I think the only thing worse than seeing that stupid thing on TV, was having to listen to my moonbat co-workers chuckle about it. I’ll remember that the next time someone assaults Obama in public or tries to do something else to embarrass or insult him while he’s giving a speech or greeting foreign leaders or signing something.
