Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Liberal blogger, in the comments, tells us why we should like it so much:
It pisses off those many self-hating people who hope for America to fail soon. It smokes out idiots who hate Obama more than they love America, it smokes out racists and bigots of many stripes. It exposes people who really don’t help our nation grow and thrive, so we can know who to avoid when we need patriots to trust.
Maybe we could label these people, make them wear some kind of symbol or something? That way, after we know who they are, we could put our health care rules back to the way they were so that people can keep those doctors & plans they were supposed to be able to keep, and avoid these higher costs they now see coming. Also, President Obama wouldn’t have to decide every day what to do with His phone and His pen. But, no such reversal seems likely in the near future, so the question continues to plague us: This is success?
It has the benefit of distinguishing “my political movement, right or wrong” liberals from those who possess common sense? Can’t speak for everyone. But I was able to noodle that one out before ObamaCare.
Well, Nancy Pelosi did say we’d have to pass it to find out what’s in it. Looks like division and anger. Must be part of President Obama’s new tone.

Just for chuckles, let’s break this one down.
It pisses off those many self-hating people who hope for America to fail soon.
But shouldn’t I, as a self-hating person, want America to keep going? After all, it’s the land of ObamaCare, which is working great, which is what pisses me off, because I hate myself. Or is the point that I should quit hating myself? In which case I should also want America to keep going, because I’m sure all the thousands of hours of vegan aromatherapy I’ll need to overcome my self-hate are covered by ObamaCare. Which is working great. I’m confused.
t smokes out idiots who hate Obama more than they love America
What units are we measuring this in? Because I’m worried that I hate America just slightly less than I hate Obama, but slightly more than I hate myself (see above). Does the European Commission have a metric for this? Something we can measure with a loatheomometer? That sounds like the kind of thing the European Commission does. I also take issue with the “idiots” part. If I really can’t see how great ObamaCare is, and hate myself for that incomprehension, isn’t my self-hate, you know, kinda rational? Even smart in its way? I’m more confused than before.
it smokes out racists and bigots of many stripes
Wait, now I’m really confused. Pointing out rational, evidence-based problems with ObamaCare is stupid, hateful, and bigoted. Responding to those problems with accusations of stupidity, hatred, and bigotry is smart. So I am smart for hating myself, stupid hateful bigot that I am? Or I’m not smart, because I just can’t see how “ur a raciss lol” is in any way a rebuttal of reason and evidence? Here again, a standardized unit for smartness would be helpful, IQ being extra-raciss, of course, I assume the EU has come up with something else, because, again, it’s the EU and that’s the kind of thing they do. Can we get a ruling here? What’s Diamond Giscard up to these days?
It exposes people who really don’t help our nation grow and thrive Yes, ObamaCare most certainly does that. I’m 100% with you here, Maude.
so we can know who to avoid when we need patriots to trust
Well, I’m convinced. I now only trust groups with “Patriot” in their name. As I’m sure you do, Maude. Thanks for turning me on to these wonderful folks. See ya at the compound!
- Severian | 03/17/2014 @ 07:09Well, there IS the Obama specific wavy line symbol that “unexpectedly” began to appear on gub’mrnt standards and signage.
Is there a Corporate Logo for Reardon Metal?
- CaptDMO | 03/17/2014 @ 09:33(Well…aside from the Chrysler Building, miscomprehended Café press “Reardon Steel”, or “other” movie related anodized aluminum crap.)
