Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
…can’t let Neal Boortz get a single sentence out of his mouth without interrupting, that is.
Of course she managed to do it, finally, after he pointed that out. Ah…good to see.

The Democrat play book hasn’t changed in my political lifetime. I can remember James Carville the lizard shouting down a conservative, sadly I can’t remember who, on meet the press.
but the playbook is this;
If you have no refutation, shout loud and often to make sure the opposition can’t be heard. The Dems have done this and nothing but for as long as I can remember. Only the coverage has changed to allow conservatives to note it.
- Tom The Impaler | 03/19/2008 @ 16:27It all has to do with the tone that permeates throughout the room. They figure out what’s going on based on their reading of it, and for them making a convincing argument is synonymous with manipulating what it is.
This leads to a lot of simple methods for amusing onesself at a leftist’s expense, such as…demand a detailed accounting of WHY exactly President Bush is the “worst President ever.” The answer is that he conjures up feelings of disappointment because the leftists REALLY thought Gore/Kerry would win. But they can’t say that. So you get stuff and nonsense about the economy and war — which, of course, does nothing to cement his place in history as a “worst” President, so many others in history having beat him to the punch at those things.
Neal has a good understanding of this. It looks like he had a lot of fun chewing her up and spitting her out, huh?
- mkfreeberg | 03/19/2008 @ 17:18Bully for Neal for pointing that out plainly and bluntly.
Would that more conservative guests on these shows point that out.
That being said, it’s one reason why I don’t like O’Rielly, even though I agree with him most of the time. He’s an interrupter. Most of these shows seem to thrive on that crap, including Hannity and Colmes. I might watch them if they had actual arguments instead of soundbyte wars, and rude ones at that.
Chris Matthews, just about all of them. Interrupters.

I am SO with you on this point, Phil. I quit watching the shout-fests years ago. In my time zone I have just enough time to watch O’Reilly’s “memo” before I switch over to PBS’ The News Hour. By the time the memo is done, PBS is finished with their non-ad ads and I can watch Jim Lehrer and Co. in all their glory. There is REAL discussion on that show, and the guests are polite, believe it or don’t.
How refreshing.
