Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...

76% (3 wrong, but I had to guess at those).
not too bad for a non american who lives in Asia I think.
- pdwalker | 06/19/2008 @ 13:53If you get 12 out of 12, then you are doing better than 97% of the population.
I got 12 out of 12 right, and that’s what it said. Did you get all 12 right? That would be a 100% on the test, but in the top 3% of the country in terms of US political current events.
- wch | 06/19/2008 @ 14:49Also, the national average being 50% is self-evident – that chart isn’t very illuminating. A bell curve would be better – illustrating the height and width of the population (answer-wise).
- wch | 06/19/2008 @ 14:54I assumed I got the Bosnia thing wrong but didn’t go check. I was kind of guessing on that one.
- mkfreeberg | 06/19/2008 @ 18:27Here’s Your Score: You correctly answered 12 of the 12 possible questions along with approximately 3% of the public. You did better than 97% of the general public.
Percentiles are ugly things. Shouldn’t 12/12 be the 99th percentile? Who does better than 12/12?
The answer was Kosovo, Morgan. The interesting thing about the quiz, to me, was I didn’t guess at any of ’em. Or: too easy.
- Buck | 06/19/2008 @ 19:32How in the world can less than a quarter of test-takers not know that the Senate Majority leader is Harry Reid?
- JohnJ | 06/19/2008 @ 19:4012 out of 12. And linked. Thanks for that. Not to echo JohnJ too loudly, but I had expected something a bit more challenging. Most of the people who will vote in the fall will never come near this quiz; so JohnJ’s question gets even more interesting; less than a quarter of test-takers, perhaps a sixteenth or thirty-second of total voters?
