Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Can’t believe I haven’t seen anybody else do this. That’s probably because most bloggers are way classier than I am.
Well, maybe I should be the bigger man here. I’m just not up to it though. This asshole managed to become a multi-millionaire because of our capitalist system…and he hasn’t got a single good word to say about any of it. Well, that and the extraordinarily short attention span of some of the people who live here. So screw him.
Here I am lowering myself. I’ll write myself a note to lose a few winks of sleep tonight because of my shame. Might even remember to read it.
Pics captured from here and here.

At a certain point, when the cops in Wisc. ignore union thugs committing felonies, demonstrators outside of politicians homes, deaths threats against politicians and bloggers, etc., and threats, harassment, vandalism and crass, disgusting incivility to anyone who disagrees with them, what good is it to “rise above it”, “to have the moral high ground”, to just turn the other cheek???
We’ve been too passive, too nice about all this for WAY too long? Ridicule and outright verbal assault, to start with, is more than in order, in my book.
When you have Code Pink (do I need to slaughter keyboard about them?), socialists (like Moonface above) and self avowed communists (like Van Jones), are on your side in a debate, doesn’t that give pause to the public union man, that maybe, just freakin’ maybe you should reevaluate your position?

- philmon | 03/18/2011 @ 13:58“Clown” is the second word, Phil. “Ass” goes right before it.
