Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Yeah, Stossel’s a nut who wants to legalize pot. But I like his style, I agree with him more often than not…and I really like the point he’s making here.
Real life continues to counsel us, over and over again — when you have a decision to make and there is risk to be weighed on both sides, you really need to look at both sides.
Governments of all kinds of countries, living and dead, continue to tell us — naw. We like to look at just one side. It is our nature.
Hat tip to theCL at Washington Rebel.
Timely. And that’s an understatement.

Free country… yeah not quite so much anymore. Too much government meddling in people’s lives where they have no business doing so.
- pdwalker | 03/24/2010 @ 23:15Stossel is a bit like Michael Savage or Glenn Beck…ostensibly conservative, but someone that I find I must take with a grain of salt. I read one of his books a few years ago, and I couldn’t believe some of the crapolla that he thought was worth discussing and formulating public policy about. He even found time to rip some group who claim to be able to cure people of homosexual urges, prattling on about how one of those said to be “cured” was later seen in a gay bar…proof positive, he said, that the group was a sham.
I actually wrote a blog entry about it, and aside from ripping Stossel up one side and down the other, I also questioned the need for him to even be examining this. Didn’t he have anything more important to talk about, I asked.
I’ve rarely read or listened to the man since. I don’t have a lot of patience for the libertarian viewpoint to start with.
