Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Comedy gold, and I’ve come to expect nothing less. Naturally, I’ve highlighted the especially good parts:
To be offended is usually a rather unpleasant experience, one that can expose a person to intolerance, cultural misunderstandings, and even evoke the scars of the past. This is such an unpleasant experience that many people develop a thick skin and try to only be offended in the most egregious and awful situations. In many circumstances, they can allow smaller offenses to slip by as fighting them is a waste of time and energy. But white people, blessed with both time and energy, are not these kind of people. In fact there are few things white people love more than being offended.
Naturally, white people do not get offended by statements directed at white people. In fact, they don’t even have a problem making offensive statements about other white people (ask a white person about “flyover states”). As a rule, white people strongly prefer to get offended on behalf of other people.
What comes next…even better still. Read the whole thing.

I am proud, DAMNED PROUD!, to know I beat you to this by a full 10 minutes!
- vanderleun | 05/29/2008 @ 09:05Ninety percent of the folks on the linked site seem to be *seriously* paranoid.
- sf4 | 05/29/2008 @ 09:27They need to add “winning a blogger race” to the list.
- mkfreeberg | 05/29/2008 @ 11:04I ran across the White People blog a while back and laughed my rear end off. I’d forgotten about it. This one is particularly good.
It’s clearly about white people who make up the core of the American Democratic Party and European Socialist parties … perhaps excluding tradeworker unions.
- philmon | 05/29/2008 @ 12:11I think it’s all about yuppies, Phil. (Then again, most yuppies I knew were Dems. Just sayin’.) Still and even: FUNNY!
- Buck | 05/29/2008 @ 17:16Yep, Buck, we’re on the same page.
- philmon | 05/29/2008 @ 20:24The phenominal success of SWPL is supported by an equally phenominal number of white-bashing comments by an abundance of non-white readers.
Mr. Lander’s lothesome depiction of a vain and impotent “Whitey” in his many essays, provide a polite forum, on a white guy’s blog no less, to display the now, quite public, hate-whitey mind set of non-whites.
This guy is a huckster extroidnare, hits and book deals drive him, not any love for, or comprehensive knowledge of any white people I’ve met. His Silicone Valley view of White America, bloated with white guilt insinuations, is the “Kick-Me” sign he tries to hang on the backside of all whites.
The collectivist Cali computer snots, of which he is one, may wear their guilt of never accomplishing anything worthwhile on their sleeves, but real white people don’t get offended, they get even.
