Alarming News: I like Morgan Freeberg. A lot.
American Digest: And I like this from "The Blog That Nobody Reads", because it is -- mostly -- about me. What can I say? I'm on an ego trip today. It won't last.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: We were following a trackback and thinking "hmmm... this is a bloody excellent post!", and then we realized that it was just part III of, well, three...Damn. I wish I'd written those.
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: ...I just remembered that I found a new blog a short while ago, House of Eratosthenes, that I really like. I like his common sense approach and his curiosity when it comes to why people believe what they believe rather than just what they believe.
Brutally Honest: Morgan Freeberg is brilliant.
Dr. Melissa Clouthier: Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes (pftthats a mouthful) honors big boned women in skimpy clothing. The picture there is priceless--keep scrolling down.
Exile in Portales: Via Gerard: Morgan Freeberg, a guy with a lot to say. And he speaks The Truth...and it's fascinating stuff. Worth a read, or three. Or six.
Just Muttering: Two nice pieces at House of Eratosthenes, one about a perhaps unintended effect of the Enron mess, and one on the Gore-y environ-movie.
Mein Blogovault: Make "the Blog that No One Reads" one of your daily reads.
The Virginian: I know this post will offend some people, but the author makes some good points.
Poetic Justice: Cletus! Ah gots a laiv one fer yew...
Just dang, people.
After 5,852 posts and six and a half years, I misspelled a word. Okay?
And I’m actually seeing a spike in traffic as a result. How pathetic is that?

I read your blog for the misspellings.
- seattle | 04/23/2011 @ 03:43One of the many things about the Right that makes me sigh: a devotion to the tried-and-true brings along with it a crippling pedantry addiction.
Edmund Burke could post all of his most influential writings on the internet, and fully 3/4 of the comments would be “it’s shows, you dumbass, not shews.“
- Severian | 04/23/2011 @ 08:06Ah well, I’m on the pedants’ side on this thing. I needed to look up the homonym and I didn’t do it; just plain wrong & sloppy. Besides of which, the first one to speak up was pretty polite about it.
I hear what you’re saying though. The left can opine with “your” “you’re” and “yore” just all jumbled up & tossed in there, and the like-minded won’t have a single thing to say about it except “oh I just so totally agree with yew.” See, it’s got to do with recognizing certain things just are the way they are & aren’t up for re-negotiation. That’s the conservative side that recognizes this. The left likes to make up stories about conservative Republicans legislating Pi to be 3, but it’s their side that labors in perpetuity to re-define constants. In fact, by spinning that wild story, the left demonstrates this very point unwittingly, even as they’re in the middle of trying to flip it around.
- mkfreeberg | 04/23/2011 @ 10:36Dang. Am I falling down on the job here?
- bpenni | 04/23/2011 @ 12:30Yeah at first I was going to leave it busted until you came along to say something. But, you know, it was wrong.
